It was another great weekend for the Migonis Multisport team. The Green Lakes Triathlon, which is one of the more popular triathlons in Central New York, took place on Saturday and three athletes from team Migonis Multisport had great performances. Jamie Campbell was the first to cross the line finishing 14th overall and second in his age-group in a time of 1:07:28. Travis Glazier had a break-through performance using a very well-rounded effort to finish 50th overall and seventh in his age-group with a time of 1:13:37. Joan Kane had an amazing race scoring a podium finish in her age-group after a great swim, impressive bike and excellent run. Her time was 1:23:42 and it too was a break-through performance which has us all very excited about what we are going to see from her the rest of 2015. Great job everyone! http://www.score-this.com/all-multisport
While Jamie, Travis and Joan were racing their butts off in Fayetteville, Ryan Meek, Emily Zipprich, Matt Ryan, Nick Tucci and Matt Migonis were in Lake Placid, NY logging some serious meters, miles and minutes on the Ironman Lake Placid race course. In all the three days saw each athlete rack-up 6,000-10,000 meters of swimming in Mirror Lake, 160-180 bike miles riding around the course, and 18-20 miles of running in Lake Placid. In all, the six workouts were a real confidence booster for everyone because it showed that their training is right on target. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to realize that their bodies and their minds were strong enough to handle a huge workload in a short period of time. Everyone will be better off for their upcoming Ironman races after this weekend. Great job team!
This coming weekend in the Syracuse Ironman 70.3 event which is held in Jamesville, NY. Ryan Meek and Matt Migonis will toe the line this week representing the Migonis Multisport team. Both are in the same age-group and both will be starting at 7:28 am. Hopefully the weather is a little cooler than it has been in previous years. Good luck guys!
