Great Weekend For Migonis Multisport Duathlon, Triathlon and 5k Run

It was a great weekend of racing for Migonis Multisport this past weekend:

At the St. Anthony’s Triathlon Scott Milnamow set a new personal best in an Olympic distance triathlon finishing in a time of 2:43:18.  Scott is training for his second Ironman and used this race as a speed session and to work on his transitions.  Well done Scott!

Joan Kane also set a new personal best when she ran 26:25 to win her age group at the Vernon Downs 5k Road Race.  This was a big PR for Joan who has been working harder this year than any previous year and her results are really starting to show big gains.

In the Vernon Downs Duathlon, Team Migonis Multisport cleaned up big time.  Matt Migonis and Amanda Hatfield took the overall titles setting course records in the process. Amanda’s time for the 5k run, 21 mile bike, 5k run was 1:48:54 and was over two minutes faster than the second place female.  Matt’s time of 1:25:04 was over 13 minutes faster than the course record set last year.  Teammate Randy Hadzor was second overall and first in his age-group and Tim Leonard also took home an age-group win crossing the line in 1:56:22.

It was a great day all-around for Migonis Multisport and we hope it is a sign of things to come in 2014.
