New Toys

I just got my new SRAM Quarq all set-up on the road bike and purchased a Garmin Edge 500 to use as the head piece.  I had issues getting the Joule from my powermeter to work with the Quarq, so I just decided to leave the Joule on the TT bike with the power meter rear wheel.  The TT bike stays on the trainer unless I’m racing on it while the majority of my outdoor rides are done on the road bike.  For the first time I’ll have power input from each bike without having to switch wheels.  It’s not that I’m lazy, but I like things to be simple.  I wish I could afford to have two Quarq units so that I could race with it during my tri races, but that isn’t in the budget.  Maybe next year when I get back into more tri racing and longer races I’ll switch the Quarq to the TT bike.
