2014 Team Migonis Multisport Highlights
2014 saw some excellent results from team Migonis Multisport. Everyone on the team set at least one new personal best time and each member showed significant growth in learning about their bodies, their minds and what they need to do during the early,mid and late season to get their body and mind ready to race at the highest level possible. The year wasn’t without hardships and bumps along the way, but everyone kept pushing through and came out with a very successful 2014 season.
Here are some highlights from each team member:
Amanda Hatfield: qualified for and participated in the 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championships, set a new 70.3 PR at Ironman 70.3 Raleigh, had podium finishes at Delta Lake, Mini-musselman, Cooperstown and Vernon Downs.
Joe Hatfield: completed his first Ironman Lake Placid, raced at the 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championships, set a new 70.3 PR at Ironman 70.3 World Championships
Scott Milnamow: Completed his second Ironman Lake Placid setting a new PR by nearly 60 minutes, also set a new 70.3 PR at Ironman 70.3 Raleigh.
Dana Cooreman: Completed her first Ironman Lake Placid, set a new 70.3 PR at Ironman 70.3 Syracuse.
Tim Leonard: Completed his first Ironman Lake Placid and his first 70.3 triathlon at Ironman 70.3 Syracuse.
Tyler Evans: Won the Olympic distance triathlons at Delta Lake and Keuka Lake, first place overall at the “Delta Double,” qualified for both the 2015 ITU Sprint Distance and Olympic Distance World Championships after finishing in the top 10 in his age-group at USAT Nationals, finished 9th in his age-group at the ITU Sprint Distance World Championships.
Joan Kane: Broke her 5k road racing PR three times, set new PR’s in the sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and had several age-group podium finishes.
Katie Sullivan: Completed her first Ironman Lake Placid and set a new 70.3 PR at the Tupper Lake Tinman Triathlon.
